Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Cabinet expressed its best wishes of all success for the leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States in their 34th session to be held in the State of Kuwait on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al -Sabah of the State of Kuwait, praying to Allah Almighty to crown their efforts with all success contributing to advance the march of the Council and solidarity between members states to preserve the achievements of the States of the Council and their peoples. The Cabinet was also briefed on a number of issues related to the joint GCC works and achievements of the Council since its inception until now, particularly the agenda of the GCC summit to start its works on Tuesday in Kuwait , and took the relevant appropriate measures. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet reviewed a number of reports on the latest developments in the region and the world, and it was briefed on the results of the ministerial meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries ( OPEC ) held in Vienna on Wednesday, 30 Muharram 1435 AH , and decided to maintain the production ceiling currently in place.
