The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi, met here today with the Minister of State Administration for Energy in the People's Republic of China Wu Xin Xiong and his accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed the current and future situations of the oil market, the importance of its stability, and the Kingdom's influential and positive role in this stability to serve the interests of producing and consuming countries alike, especially the economies of developing countries. They also reviewed ways of developing bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and China in the fields of petroleum, energy, mining, and environment, including the development of joint investments between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Adviser at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, a number of the Ministry's senior officials; and Ambassador of the Republic of China to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Li Chengwen.
