Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan, President of Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), has opened SABIC Technical Center in Bangalore, India. In a speech delivered on this occasion, Prince Saud bin Abdullah commended the depth of relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and India, expressing confidence that India will continue achieving an accelerated growth in various fields. For his part, Karnataka Governor Dr. Hans Raj Bhardwaj stressed the deep-rooted relations between the two countries, thanking the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its efforts in calling for peace, tolerance and dialogue. Dr. Bhardwaj also thanked SABIC for establishing and investing in this project, which will serve the interests of the two countries and will contribute to strengthening and building knowledge and innovation. This center is the latest SABIC technical centers in Asia, with an initial investment amounted to $ 100 million. It covers an area 187,000 square meters, representing a new quantum leap that confirms the company's commitment to innovation and creativity in India and the world. This facility is one of 17 technical centers owned by SABIC around the world. The SABIC technical center will be a beacon of knowledge with more than 300 scientists, engineers and technicians in India. The opening ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to India Dr. Saud Al-Sati and a number of officials.
