The 16th meeting of the Regional Organization for the Protection of Marine Environment (ROPME) was concluded here today. The meeting, chaired by President of the Meteorology and Environment Authority Dr. Abdulaziz bin Omar Al-Jasser, addressed a number of issues concerning the need for further protection of marine life in the Arabian Gulf. The meeting also discussed ways of enhancing cooperation among the Gulf-overlooking countries to address issues such as pollution in the Arabian Gulf.
