IV News Agencies World Congress resumed today its work in the presence of President of the Saudi Press Agency and President of the IV News Agencies World Congress Mr. Abdullah Bin Fahad Al-Hussein and heads of news agencies in the world and officials of institutions of information and communication technology.
Session III - Arabic language broadcasters' perspective on news agencies was held today and included Dr. Farid Ayar, Secretary General, FANA, as the moderator, and panelists: Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Haza, CEO Chief Broadcast & TV in Saudi Arabia, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Rashid, Director and Editor-in-Chief, Al-Arabia, Mr. Behrouz Afagh, Head of BBC World Service's Asia Pacific Region, Bib Persian & Arabic services, Mr. Aleksander Nazarov, Deputy Editor-in-chief, Russia Today - Arabic branch and Mr Nart Bouran, Director of Sky News Arabia.
Al-Haza spoke on the views of news editors on the news agencies and their role in providing news.
