A spokesman for Congo's M23 rebel movement says the group expects to sign a peace accord with the government Monday, AP reported. M23's Lawrence Kanyuka said Monday his group was waiting to attend the signing ceremony in the Ugandan town of Entebbe on Lake Victoria. The event is scheduled to take place at the official residence of Uganda's president, whose government has been mediating the Congo peace talks since December. Hundreds of M23 rebels fled to Uganda after they were defeated by Congolese government troops in recent fighting in eastern Congo.
