Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held here today a press conference with his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski, who is currently visiting Palestine. During the press conference, the Palestinian president stressed that his country will continue in its efforts to find a political solution that brings peace, stability and security to the region and that will end the occupation that started in 1967 in order to establish the independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital. Abbas said that he told Komorowski about Israel's settlement activities, its measures in Al-Quds and settler attacks against Palestinians, which he said are obstacles in the way of the peace talks. The Palestinian President also pointed out the role played by the United States in pushing the peace process. The two leaders emphasized the importance of bilateral relations and ways to improve them.
