AlHijjah 20, 1434, Oct 25, 2013, SPA -- The Human Rights Council approved here today in a public session the final conclusions of the comprehensive and periodic review on the human rights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Following the session held today, the President of the Saudi Human Rights Commission Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban expressed pleasure at the positive reactions towards the Kingdom, by the states which discussed the report, pointing that 90 member states out of a total of 102 states have hailed the Saudi exerted efforts in the field of spreading, protecting and enhancing the human rights. He stressed that the Kingdom will go forward to enhance and protect the human rights at all levels in a way to maintain its identity, culture and national gains based on the Shariah (Islamic laws) in order to achieve justice, equality and tolerance among all human beings. Al-Aiban thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown prince, the Second Deputy Premier and the Minister of Foreign Affairs for their keenness on enhancing and protecting the human rights through a continuous support of the human rights in the Kingdom.
