AlHijjah 16, 1434, Oct 21, 2013, SPA -- The Arab Foreign Ministers held here today a meeting of the Arab Peace Initiative Committee with the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, led the Kingdom's delegation to the meeting. Following the meeting, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Qatari Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attyiah held a joint press conference, stressing that the Arab Peace Initiative will provide an immediate peace and settlement for the Palestinian cause. They added that the Arab League and the follow-up committee are committed to the initiative, expressing thanks to their efforts on supporting the agreement which is important for Palestinian-Israeli two-state solution. During the press conference, the two ministers also reviewed the situation in Syria. The U.S. Secretary of State said that there will be a Syrian transitional government with agreement of all parties, pointing out that Geneva 2 Conference aims to apply agreements of Geneva 1 Conference. -
