AlHijjah 9, 1434, Oct 14, 2013, SPA -- The General Presidency for the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque has accustomed to change Kaabah Kiswah (Covering) at the Grand Holy Mosque on Dhu-Al-Hijjah 9, the day of standing in Arafat Holy Mount. The Presidency's employees changed Kaabah Kiswah on Monday morning. The Director General of Kaabah Kiswah Factory in Makkah, Dr Mohammed Abdullah Pajudeh, said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that more than 240 workers and employees are working in the factory, noting that the cost of making Kiswah amounts annually to more than SR 22 million. He pointed out that 700 kilograms of silk and 120 kilograms of silver and gold wires are used in making Kaabah Kiswah.
