AlHijjah 8, 1434, Oct 13, 2013, SPA -- The Ministry of Labor today stated that a worker in Saudi Arabia's private sector is eligible to four days off to enjoy Eid Al-Adh-ha, starting from the ninth of Zul-Hijja when pilgrims ascend to Arafat valley, the climax of the ritual. According to Hattab Al-Enezy, the spokesman of the ministry, the four days is the minimum that could not be touched by the employer. However, if a worker who spent two continuous years on duty with the same company opted to perform Hajj, he will be eligible for ten to 15 days, including the Eid vacation, once in his term of office, only if he did not had the chance to perform the ritual before, Hattab added. He said the employer will have the right to choose who could enjoy going to Hajj among several applicants in the same year according to the requirements of his business.
