AlHijjah 1, 1434, Oct 6, 2013, SPA -- The Ministry of Health is accelerating to take the healthy measures and equipments in a way to guarantee the safety of Hajj and pilgrims in addition to provide preventive, curative and ambulatory services through the heath facilities in Makkah, Madinah and the holy sites. The ministry aims to apply motto "Health of Pilgrims is Our Title" and provides health services through strategy ensuring safety and health of pilgrims. The Health Ministry will provide 25 hospitals in Makkah, Madinah and holy sites, where the number of beds in these hospitals is 5,250 beds, including 4,200 beds for the specialized departments, 500 for the intensive care units and 550 for the emergency department. The ministry prepared 141 medical centers, including 43 centers in Makkah, 80 in the holy sites, 15 in Madinah and 14 health centers for emergency at Jamarat Bridge. The ministry provides 16,000 blood units of all the different factions. The health ministry recruited 22,500 of its employees for the service of pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah and the holy sites.
