AlQa'dah 26, 1434, October 02, 2013, SPA -- Upon directives of Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Minister of Health, chaired here today the meeting of representatives of the health sectors participating in the Hajj season 1434H. During the meeting, they discussed the ministry's work plan as well as ways of coordination to ensure the quality of the health services provided to the pilgrims. Dr. Al-Rabeeah said that the Health Ministry will provide 25 hospitals in Makkah, Madinah and holy sites, where the number of beds in these hospitals is 5,250 beds, including 4,200 beds for the specialized departments, 500 for the intensive care units and 550 for the emergency department. He added that the ministry prepared 141 medical centers, including 43 centers in Makkah, 80 in the holy sites, 15 in Madinah and 14 health centers for emergency at Jamarat Bridge. Al-Rabeeah also added that the ministry provides 16,000 blood units of all the different factions.
