AlHijjah 1, 1434, Oct 6, 2013, SPA -- A Nok Air flight skidded off the runway while landing in north-eastern Thailand Sunday, but all 25 passengers and three crew were safely evacuated, dpa cited reports as saying. Airline officials were quoted by the Bangkok Post as saying the turboprop aircraft veered off the runway at Udon Thani airport onto an adjoining field at 8:45 am. The airline blamed the mishap on "a glitch in the engine" but gave no further details. On August 6, a Bangkok-bound Nok Air flight veered off the runway at Trang airport in southern Thailand while preparing for takeoff, but there were no injuries.
