AlQa'dah 25, 1434, Oct 1, 2013, SPA -- Information Ministers of GCC Member States held their 21st meeting hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain and chaired by Samira bint Ibrahim bin Rajab, Bahrain's Minister of State for Information Affairs and Government Official Spokesperson. Saudi Arabia's delegation to the meeting was led by Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja. During the meeting, the GCC information ministers approved the launch of "This is the Arabian Gulf" Radio Station in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The ministerial meeting discussed several topics to boost GCC media cooperation and reinforce cohesion, security and stability. A paper presented by the GCC General Secretariat constitutes an overall frame translatable into implementable programmes and projects and clarifies the rights and obligations of every citizen in any one of the member countries. The meeting discussed the outcomes of a study intended for activation of GCC media cooperation in compliance with the resolution passed by the 13th Session of the GCC Supreme Summit in May 2011. The Ministers also reviewed recommendations from media committees and took appropriate resolutions.
