AlQa'dah 19, 1434, Sep 25, 2013, SPA -- A quake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale shook the southern Peruvian province of Arequipa on Wednesday, authorities said. According to dpa, there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. According to Peru's Geo-Physical Institute, the quake happened at 1642 GMT, 30 kilometres underground with an epicentre 64 kilometres from the town of Lomas. It was felt in the Peruvian provinces of Cuzco and Apurimac and into northern Chile.
