AlQa'dah 14, 1434, September 20, 2013, SPA -- Floods have killed three people and left 13 missing after Tropical Storm Usagi triggered heavy rain in central Vietnam, dpa quoted authorities as saying Friday. The three dead were swept away by floodwater, the Central Steering Committee for Storm and Flood Control said in a report released Friday. Five people including two children were among the missing after the car they were travelling in was swept off the road in Nghe An province on Thursday. The driver and a front-seat passenger managed to kick the door open and swim to safety. Floods and landslides destroyed nearly 5,000 houses and nearly 6,000 hectares of rice and vegetable were inundated. Usagi is the eighth tropical storm to hit Vietnam this year. Floods and landslides have killed at least 30 people in northern Vietnam this month. -- SPA 10:09 LOCAL TIME 07:09 GMT تغريد
