AlQa'dah 12, 1434, Sep 18, 2013, SPA -- The Governor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority Eng. Abdullatif Al-Othman said that the size of governmental expenditures in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amounted to $ 718 billion during the past five years and the volume of investments during the same period amounted to $ 141 billion. In a speech at Saudi-US Business Opportunities Forum here yesterday, Eng. Al-Othman pointed out that the size of the Saudi economy has quadrupled during the last ten years to rank the first among the countries of the region and the 19th at the global arena. He explained that trade relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America have been continuously growing and the volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounted to $ 77 billion over the past year.
