AlQa'dah 11, 1434, Sep 17, 2013, SPA -- The Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has provided a significant support for the sector of ports including the spending of amounts exceeding SR 40 billion for the establishment of the infrastructure, construction and development of specialized docks and terminals in the ports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The revenues of the General Organization for Ports exceeded SR 4 billion in the past fiscal year 1433/1434 AH, an increase of SR 800 million in comparison with the previous fiscal year. The sector of containers has also witnessed an increase in the capacity of ports from 5 million in 2008 to 12 million containers in 2012.
