AlQa'dah 11, 1434, Sep 17, 2013, SPA -- Lockheed Martin Corporation has won a rare commercial contract for launch services on its unmanned Atlas 5 rocket, officials said. The customer is the government of Mexico, which will pay Lockheed to fly its Moralos 3 communications satellite in 2015. The last commercial Atlas launch was for Intelsat Corp in late 2009, Lockheed spokeswoman Joan Underwood said. The company also has commercial contracts with DigitalGlobe for two launches of satellites. The primary customer for Lockheed's Atlas 5 and Delta 4 rockets is the U.S. military. Both booster rockets are manufactured by United Launch Alliance, a partnership of Lockheed Martin and Boeing Company.
