AlQa'dah 8, 1434, Sep 14, 2013, SPA -- Central African Republic President Michel Djotodia has dissolved the Seleka rebel coalition, some six months after it led the coup that brought him to power, dpa reported. The presidency made the announcement late Friday, French broadcaster RFI reported Saturday. The country has been plunged into a humanitarian crisis since the Seleka coalition rose up against the government of Francois Bozize in December. Djotodia was sworn in as president in August, on the understanding that he would step down after elections planned for 2016. Numerous deaths have been reported during recent clashes between Seleka gunmen and former soldiers loyal to Bozize. The charity Medicines sans Frontiers (MSF) has highlighted the growing number of civilian casualties.
