AlQa'dah 4, 1434, Sep 10, 2013, SPA -- The U.S. Senate Monday delayed a test vote on authorizing U.S. military action against Syria. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (Democrat from Nevada) said that it would not be beneficial to hold the vote while international discussions continue regarding Syrian chemical weapons use. Reid said that it is not important to "see how fast we can do this. We have to see how well we can do this." The senator's action came amid increased opposition in the Senate to military intervention in Syria. The Nevada Democrat had planned a full Senate vote Wednesday. It is unclear when that might happen now.
