AlQa'dah 3, 1434, Sep 9, 2013, SPA -- Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thinayan, President of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, received at his office in Riyadh today the Korean ambassador-designate of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom Jin Soo Kim who was accompanied by the Embassy's Counselor for Construction, Transportation and Maritime Affairs Yoonsang Lee. Prince Thinayan highlighted the giant developmental and industrial projects recently launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to be implemented in the two cities of Jubail and Yanbu by the Commission, Saudi ARAMCO and the private sector at a total cost of SR327 billion, noting that Korean companies were invited to take part in the implementation of those giant project. He said the Commission has successfully established state-of-the-art industrial ideal-infrastructured cities, lauding the pioneering role of Korean companies working in the Kingdom in the engineering, technological and construction fields in the host country. The two sides also discussed the possibilities of investment opportunities between the Royal Commission and SABIC and Marafiq on one hand and their counterparts in South Korea on the other. They also discussed the possibilities of benefiting from the Korean experience in the field of training through sending Saudi students from colleges and institutes of the Royal Commission and SABIC Academy on scholarships to Korea. For his part, the Korean ambassador expressed heartfelt admiration of the Saudi comprehensive renaissance and its Jubail and Yanbu example, thanking Prince Thinayan for his keenness to strengthen the economic relations between the two countries through the facilities offered by the Royal Commission for Korean investors.
