AlQa'dah 1, 1434, Sep 7, 2013, SPA -- Lebanon has tightened security measures around foreign diplomatic missions in Beirut out of fears of reprisals for possible US military action against neighbouring Syria, dpa quoted security officials as saying Saturday. Cars were being searched on roads leading to Western and Arab embassies in Beirut. Some roads were closed by barbed wire as part of security measures. The steps come a day after the US embassy said it was evacuating non-essential staff because of "threats to US mission facilities and personnel."
