AlQa'dah 01, 1434, September 07, 2013, SPA -- The Maldives began voting for new president Saturday amid tight security and an expected high turnout, dpa reported. Nearly 240,000 voters were registered, including 65,745 who will cast ballots overseas. Voting began at 7:30 am (0230 GMT) and is due to end at 4:30 pm, the Election Commissioner's office said.
