The foreign ministers of Turkey, Jordan, Iraq and Lebanese minister of Social Affairs called on the world community to provide support for their countries to face the humanitarian crisis which is deteriorating due to the grave escalation of the conflict in Syria. In a joint press conference in Geneva, they confirmed their countries' commitment to set the borders open in front of Syrian refugees. Jordan's Foreign Minister Saleh Judah expressed fear of his country from the influx of tens of thousands new refugees one day. For his part, the Lebanese Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abu Faoor said the number of Syrian refugees in his country represents 20% of the population to date and that the situation is quite concerning at the security, economic and social levels. He also express disappointment over the weak response of the world community towards the human crisis in the region despite increasing fears since the use of chemical weapons on August 31. For his part, the Foreign Minister of Turkey Ahmet Daud Oglu warned from further aggravation of the Syrian refugees crisis and the increasing of their number to neighboring countries in case of absence of an international response to the use of chemicals in Syria and underscored the importance of getting ready to the worst scenarios in Syria. -- SPA 23:20 LOCAL TIME 20:20 GMT تغريد
