Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Region, announced today the sanctions that will be levied against violators of Hajj regulations ranging from immediate deportation to imprisonment for a term of not less than one year without any pardon. During the launch of a campaign on Hajj in Makkah today, he said that the sanctions include three categories of offenders: the first concerns foreign violators who will be punished with deportation immediately and will be put on the list of persons banned from entering the Kingdom for ten years. The vehicles' owners will be caught and will be punished with maximum penalties after detention and investigation and finally the owners of false campaigns will be referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution to be convicted and then prosecuted in the courts. Offenders will be jailed for a period of not less than one year without any amnesty. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz stressed that the sanctions will be applied strictly. During his statements to the media, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal hailed Saudi leaders' support for the city of Makkah and the holy sites.
