An earthquake, measuring 6.2 on Richter scale, hit the southern and central reigns of Mexico, with early reports saying there are no material losses or injuries. The U.S. Geological Survey authority said the epicenter of the quake lies 13 kilometers north west of San Marcos, near the Acapulco resort on the Pacific and at 20 km deep. The quake jolted homes in the capital Mexico city which lies some 400 km. After nearly 25 minutes, an aftershock took place measuring 5.3 on Richter scale.
