A magnitude-6.2 earthquake rattled southern and central areas of Mexico on Wednesday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported, but there were no initial reports of damage or injuries, dpa reported. Its epicentre was located 13 kilometres north-west of San Marcos, near the Pacific Coast resort of Acapulco, at a depth of 20 kilometres. The quake shook buildings in the capital, Mexico City, some 400 kilometers away. A magnitude-5.3 aftershock struck some 25 minutes later.
