Egyptian Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohammed ElBaradei is to face trial on September 19 over his resignation as vice president, dpa quoted state-run newspaper Al-Ahram as reporting online on Tuesday. The case against him was brought by the head of criminal law in Helwan University, who argues that ElBaradei was appointed vice president as a representative of the opposition and was obliged to refer his resignation to them. ElBaradei left Cairo for Vienna on Sunday, according to Al-Ahram.
