Colombia's military seized Thursday 1.6 tons of cocaine that is believed to belong to the left-wing rebels of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). According to dpa, five helicopter took part in the raid in Riosucio, in the north-west province of Choco. In a hamlet occupied by the Embera Katio indigenous community authorities found 1,558 kilograms of very pure cocaine. The navy said the drugs belonged to FARC's 57th Front and was meant to be transported to Panama by indigenous peoples, on foot, as the border is nearby. The cocaine is believed to have had a market value of at least 39 million dollars, the navy said.
