Dortmund, the 2012 cup winners, had to wait until the 71st minute before breaking the deadlock at the northern regional league side. Kevin Grosskruetz fired home from just inside the area before substitute Marvin Duksch added a second seven minutes from time and Robert Lewandowski wrapped up the scoring in the last minute. Bayer Leverkusen and Hoffenheim both eased into the next round, but Mainz left it late before beating fourth-tier Fortuna Cologne. Wolfsburg went ahead by two goals before Selcuk Alibaz scored for Karlsruhe in the 90th minute. But Marcel Schaefer struck two minutes into injury time to secure a 3-1 victory for the top flight side. Hoffenheim new signing Anthony Modeste scored two goals in three minutes as the Bundesliga side ran out 9-0 winners after a goalless first half at fifth division Bremen league outfit SG Aumund-Vegesack. Bayer Leverkusen new signing Son Heung-Min came on in the second half to score in a 6-1 win at regional league team Lippstadt, with Stefan Kiessling and Sidney Sam both grabbing two goals. Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting hit an 87th-minute winner for Mainz in a2-1 defeat of Fortuna Cologne. The home side had taken the lead with a Thomas Krauz header in the sixth minute before Nicolai Mueller levelled for Mainz. Elsewhere, second division Kaiserslautern thrashed regional sixth division side Neckarsulmer SU 7-0, Cottbus beat Magdeburg 1-0 in an east German duel, and second-division Bochum were 3-1 winners at lower league side Bahlinger SC. Second division side Aalen knocked off Rosenheim 2-0, fellow second flight club Cologne beat Eintracht Trier by the same score, and second division Ingolstadt won 4-1 at amateurs SportfreundeBaumberg. Another 13 games will be played Sunday, while cup holders Bayern Munich play Monday at regional fourth division side Rehden.
