The U.S. Senate Monday voted 93-1 to confirm the nomination of James B. Comey to be the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Comey will replace Robert S. Mueller III, who is required to vacate his post as head of the FBI on Sept. 3. Comey, 52, was deputy attorney general in the George W. Bush administration and later worked for Lockheed Martin and HSBC, according to a report of the United Press International (UPI).
