Champions League winners Bayern Munich held off Barcelona 2-0 in a charity friendly Wednesday at the Uli Hoeness Cup
in a match that did not quite live up to its lofty expectations, dpa reported.
Philipp Lahm scored the first goal of the match in the 15th
minute, heading in a cross from Franck Ribery. Mario Mandzukic
doubled the lead in the 87th minute, hitting home a pass from Diego
Contento.
Guardiola was pleased with his team's showing.
"It's a good start," he said. "I am satisfied."
