Nine people were killed in clashes across Egypt between supporters and opponents of ousted president Mohammed Morsi, a health ministry official said Tuesday. The clashes began Monday when pro-Morsi demonstrators approached central Cairo's Tahrir Square, where opponents of the toppled leader have been holding protests. Clashes in Giza province on the outskirts of Cairo and Qalyoub town, north of Cairo, continued until early Tuesday, according to a report of DPA. More than 85 people were injured in the fighting, Al-Ahram newspaper reported.
