Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday evening. The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet expressed its thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his urgent order to provide assistance amounting to more than SR 1.4 billion (one billion and four hundred millions) for families covered by the social security system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to help them meet the emergency supplies in the holy month of Ramadan, as well as the requirements of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr. The Cabinet was briefed by Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior, on the results of the 20th annual meeting of the Governors of Regions, which discussed a number of topics related to the issues of security and development in the regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Cabinet expressed its thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their wise directives to the Governors of the Regions to serve citizens of the homeland and be keen on facilitating all their affairs. The Cabinet was briefed on a number of reports on the latest developments at regional, Arab and international arenas.
