Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired here today a session of the Cabinet. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said that the Cabinet extended to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, the Second Deputy Premier, the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab and Islamic nations sincere congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, praying to Allah Almighty to help everyone in fasting and prayers, spread compassion among all and unite Muslims. The Cabinet, then, reviewed a number of reports on the latest developments in the region and the world, including the latest events in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the continuation of the Syrian crisis, added Dr.Khoja. The Cabinet expressed congratulations to Interim President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Adli Mansour, praying to Allah Almighty to preserve Egypt and avert from it evils and temptations. The Cabinet stressed that the conditions that are currently going-on in Egypt require from all those who are sincere to be wise and prudent to maintain security and stability especially because the Islamic nation is receiving the blessed month of Ramadan, calling on everyone to benefit from this blessed month in building the homeland and achieving justice and tolerance. The Cabinet reviewed the developments of the deteriorating situation in Syria and the siege and shelling with heavy weapons suffered by the Syrian people at the hands of the illegitimate regime, appealing to the international community to carry out its responsibilities to ensure the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those affected and to stop all acts of violence and genocide committed against them. --More 15:11 LOCAL TIME 12:11 GMT تغريد
