At least 19 people have died in a helicopter crash in Siberia, Russia's Interstate Aviation Committee (MAK) said Tuesday. Some of the victims were believed to be children. There were three crew and 25 passengers on board the Mi-8 chopper. The Itar-Tass news agency reported that there were five survivors. "It is absolutely clear that the crewmen and two passengers are alive," said Yakutia's deputy prime minister, Anatoly Skrybykin. The helicopter crashed into a mountainside in the republic of Yakutia because of bad weather, media reports said.
