As many as 371 male and female expatriates have embraced Islam in Tabuk region during the last seven months at the Cooperative Office for Call, Guidance and Community Awareness in the region. The Office's Director Salem bin Mohammed Batarfi pointed out in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that most of the new converted Muslims were from Ethiopia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and India. On the other hand, 14 people of Philippine and Ethiopian communities embraced Islam last night at the Cooperative Office for Call, Guidance and Community Awareness in Sabia Governorate in Jazan region.
