Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, received at the Emiri Court in Doha today visiting Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the outset of the meeting, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz congratulated the Emir of Qatar on assuming power of the State of Qatar, wishing the government and people of the State of Qatar every security, prosperity and stability. During the reception, he lauded, in the name of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, the fraternal deep-rooted and distinguished amicable ties binding the two countries and peoples of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar, wishing the Emir of Qatar every success in running the affairs of his country and the Qatari people steady progress and prosperity. The reception was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Chief of the Emiri court, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Director of the Emir of Qatar's office, and Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Aifan, Saudi ambassador to Qatar. Later, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz paid a visit to Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani at Al-Wajba palace in Doha. Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz conveyed to Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, lauding the great role Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has played in boosting the development of Qatar in all fields as well as enhancing the current fraternal relations between the Kingdom and Qatar. For his part, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz congratulated Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on Sheikh Tamim's ascending the throne in Qatar. The audience was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chief of the Emiri court, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, and Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Aifan, Saudi ambassador to Qatar. Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz arrived in Doha earlier today in Doha. He was received at the airport by Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani; Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Aifan, Saudi ambassador to Qatar, and staff members of the embassy. This evening, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz left Doha. He was seen off by Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani; Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Aifan, Saudi ambassador to Qatar, and staff members of the embassy.
