Saudi newspapers' editorials for today highlighted a number of current issues.
Al-Bilad newspaper stressed the need to boost efforts to eliminate the scourge of narcotics on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking today.
Al-Madinah newspaper commended changing the weekly official holiday in the Kingdom from Thursday and Friday to Friday and Saturday.
Al-Sharq newspaper highlighted Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal's remarks yesterday that «Syria now is an occupied land» to describe the situation in Syria after Iran intervened and the Lebanese guerrilla group Hezbollah in the conflict to support the regime in the face of the people.
