Pakistan's newly-appointed Prime Minister of Pakistan confirmed his country's keenness to enhance bilateral relations with Japan, particularly in the fields of economy and trade. During a meeting with Japanese ambassador to Pakistan, Sharif said Pakistan attaches great interest in its bilateral relations with Japan, considering it an important economic partner and a friend supporting its development. He called for double work to boost trade exchanges between the two countries. He also requested the Japanese ambassador to seek ways to assist Pakistan to improve its energy sector.
