President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan confirmed that his country attaches great attention to its firm relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, calling for expanding these ties to cover all fields, particularly the cultural, commercial and economic fields. The President's comments came during a luncheon he held in honor of the newly-appointed Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer. The Pakistani President also lauded the role of the Kingdom in assisting those in need of relief and resettlement in Pakistan. For his part, the ambassador confirmed the stance of the Kingdom, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, by the side of the people of Pakistan and its continuous support for the displaced.
