Under the patronage of Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Khalid, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in the presence of Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Farhan, Saudi ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, the Saudi Spanish Youths dialogue forum was officially opened at Bait Al-Arab in the Spanish capital of Madrid today. The Saudi delegation, led by Dr. Yousef bin Triad Al-Saadoon, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Cultural Affairs, a number of officials on the Spanish side and diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom of Spain also participated in the opening ceremony. Addressing the gathering, Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Khalid conveyed to the attendees the greetings of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister and his wishes of success for the forum. Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Khalid thanked the Spanish government and people for the efforts they exerted to hold this event and for their warm welcome and generous hospitality. He said the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for dialogue among followers of religions and cultures was launched in Makkah in 2005 and adopted by Muslim leaders and thinkers as well as world supporters of dialogue among followers of religions and cultures, particularly in Spain. He lauded the support of King Juan Carlos for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' initiative, citing the hosting of Madrid of the first conference for the followers of religions and cultures in July 2008.
