An Egyptair flight to New York from Cairo was diverted to Glasgow Prestwick Airport, an airport spokesman told dpa on Saturday, adding that police were at the scene. Flight MSR985 to JFK airport in New York was diverted after a "problem," the BBC reported. The Boeing 777 landed at 2.25 pm (1325 GMT), the airport spokesman said. He could not confirm what the problem was but said that the plane was "safely on the tarmac" and that Scottish police were "involved and on the scene."
