President Heydar Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan received here today the Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, currently on a visit to Azerbaijan, in the presence of GCC ambassadors accredited to Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the Azerbaijani President expressed his appreciation for the strong relations between Azerbaijan and the GCC States, stressing the importance of developing these relationships and enhancing them in various fields. For his part, Dr. Al-Zayani stressed the keenness of the GCC States on developing bilateral relations and cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields, noting that the memorandum of understanding to be signed between the two sides will enhance these relations.
