Turkish PM Erdogan Leaves On A Trip to North Africa

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan left here today on a trip to North Africa as demonstrators began a fourth day
of protests on Taksim Square in central Istanbul Monday.
Erdogan began a four-day visit to Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria despite the continuing protests. He called for calm from the Istanbul airport, saying the protests were organized by "extremist elements," Turkish media was cited in a report by DPA.
