The Minister of Civil Service Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Barak, attended here today an ordinary session held by the Shura Council under the chairmanship of its Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh. At the outset of the meeting, Al Al-Sheikh welcomed the minister for coming, presenting his ministry's plans and programs for discussion at the Shura Council and answering the memebrs' questions. For his part, the minister said his coming to the Shura Council is to brief the members on the future vision of his ministry within its strategic plan. He summarized his ministry's strategy as including four fields: organization and regulations, personnel, technology and cultural change and improving the work enevironment. He added that the ministry's branches were granted expanded laibilities in the fields of promotion of workforce, transference, vacations and other office procedures. Al-Barak gave an account on the ministry's plan for Saudization, training and enhancement of impartiality, responsibility and transparency. In response to a question he disclosed that the rate of female jobs represent 37% of government portfolios with female teachers represent 45% of workforce in the field of education.
