Flooding hit the central US state of Oklahoma as the death toll from Friday's tornadoes increased to nine, dpa quoted the state medical examiner as saying on Saturday. The dead included two children, a spokeswoman for the examiner said. Several of the dead were motorists trapped in their cars, she added. Among the victims were a woman and her baby travelling along Interstate 40 outside of Oklahoma City, who were killed when their car rolled over, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol told broadcaster KFOR. The city's Will Rogers Airport evacuated passengers to an underground tunnel, the airport wrote on Twitter. A tornado Friday night struck the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore, where a much larger twister on May 20 had killed 24 people, including 10 children. -- SPA 20:01 LOCAL TIME 17:01 GMT تغريد
