Syrian opposition stays away from peace talks over civilian killings

The opposition Syrian National Coalition on Thursday
said it would not attend a forthcoming international peace conference
over civilian killings, news agencies reported.
"Lives of Syrians are now more important than political
solutions," said George Sabra, the acting head of the alliance.
"The Coalition will not participate in any conferences ... in view
of the invasion by militias of Iran and (Lebanese) Hezbollah of the
Syrian lands," he told reporters in Istanbul.
